New patients often remark how “homey” our Turner office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding. So, make yourself at home!

Make Yourself at Home

You’ll find convenient parking right out the front of our clinic. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office and be made to feel at home.

After completing a 'Confidential Patient Introduction', Dr. Powderly will be ready to see you.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Thorough Examination

After taking a dedicated history, Dr Powderly will then perform a thorough examination, including orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic testing of your spine and related body parts.  X-rays of the spine will be performed if needed at this point.  Our thorough approach ensures that you will be provided with the highest standard of chiropractic care.

Dr Jon Asks some important questions of interest to Canberra residents - Chiropractor Canberra Dr Jon Asks...

If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
Why are chiropractors wary of the germ theory?
Louis Pasteur originated the idea that germs caused disease. Yet, on his deathbed he recanted, declaring, "It's not the seed, but the soil." Meaning, it's not the germ that causes disease, but the condition of the body that allows the germ to thrive. Chiropractic care in our Canberra office is designed to bolster your resistance so germs don't see you as a good host.
